Trello, Imgur, Medium, Soundcloud, Giphy and others are all either down or struggling – and it’s thanks to a breakdown at Amazon Web Services, which underpins the sites.
The Register reports that a failure at an AWS facility in Virginia, America has left services falling offline from around 6pm UK time today.
Ironically, the site IsItDownToday.com is, itself, down.
Amazon is insisting that it isn’t an outage, but instead, ‘increased error rates’.

Amazon says, ‘We’ve identified the issue as high error rates with S3 in US-EAST-1, which is also impacting applications and services dependent on S3. We are actively working on remediating the issue.’
